Don't do it! Don't try to save money on a router! A router is probably one
of the most useful hand power tools in any shop. It pays to spend extra
now to get a machine that will last and have the features you want.

I have a Porter Cable Model 691 and have been extremely satified with its
durability and features: D-handle, 1/4 & 1/2" collets, 1.5 hp, plus many
accessories. Present mail-order prices are around $150-160. The model 690
has all the same features, except the D-handle and costs about $15-20 less.
