Shop Review: Non Stop Art is by far the cleanest shop I have ever had the
pleasure of doing business with. All of the artists change gloves ALL the
time; needles are one-use and disposed of properly, and there is constant
cleaning to prevent cross-contamination. All booths are private (the studio
was a tanning salon before acquired by Non Stop Art), there is no-smoking
allowed, and there are rules against distractions such as cell phones. All
portfolios are displayed proudly, and the staff is all friendly and
extremely knowledgeable.
Artist Review--Chad Hubbard: Chad does amazing custom work and will work
with you to find the
perfect piece. His color work is amazing; very vibrant, with crisp
details. His attention to detail and cleanliness is wonderful, and he puts
anyone in the chair at ease. He has worked at several local parlors before
opening his own, and was more than willing to accomodate my work/school
schedule for my custom piece. He is very understanding to anyone being
anxious or nervous about tattooing, and his work will speak for itself.

Shop Review: Exotic is the cleanest parlor I have been in, in my area.
They
strive to offer tattoos from a medical standpoint. I was explained that
tattoos are an invasive procedure and should be treated as such. There are
private rooms for tattooing and piericing. They say they are the cleanest
and friendliest tattoo parlor in the south, and I tend to believe they sure
are close to the top if not the top in clean and friendly.
Artist Review--Janet Henry <Janetdoesink [at] aol.com>: She is a personable
person. I felt like she was old friend. I really appreciate the way she
worked with until I found exactly what I wanted. Everyone should have such
a good tattoo experience.

Shop Review: L.A. Body Art has been around for years. L.A. Body Art was
the first body piercing shop in Mobile. The establishment is very clean
and has a wide selection of designs for you to choose from. There are two
artist in this shop. Chassity (owner) and Denise. Chassity also does
branding. Chassity and Denise both were featured in a 2003 book titled
"Eletric Tattoo for Women". Chassity is very popular in the Gulf Coast
area with her own talk show. Chassity has been on the cover of numerous
tattoo magazines over the years. The shop also does body piercing along
with the tattoos. The work space and over all appearence of the shop was
perfect. The shop opperates on walk-ins and appointments. They are open
seven days a week and is located in downtown Mobile. I encourage anyone who
is intrested in a quality tattoo or piercing to vist L.A. Body Art, and
talk to an artist about a design.
Artist Review--Denise: Denise has been a tattoo artist for 21 years. Her
chair-side manners were very professional, and at the same time made you
laugh to "ease the pain". I felt that Denise was very thorough in the
design. This was my first tattoo. She was very concerned about the process
and made sure I was comfortable through out.
Denise gave me a card with all the first couple weeks care instructions,
and her phone number to call her if I had any questions. Denise also gives
touch-ups on Mondays and Tuesdays form 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm free of charge
if she gave you the tattoo. Denise specializes in animal portraits, but is
vastly
experienced in all ranges of design.

Shop Review: The shop is large with lots of tattoo art on the walls and
several books of work on the front counter. I made visits here
and to other shops in the area before deciding on CCT. The
artists who work here are extremely friendly, helpful, and
approachable. Everyone was in a good mood and genuinely happy
to be there. You can see into the workrooms from the main area
but they are behind glass and there are other rooms that are
more private. The shop is clean, bright, and open.
Artist Review--Duane: Duane has been at CCT for several years, is
originally from
Michigan, his wife also works here, and is very talkative.
A co-worker had recommended the shop and had good comments on
Duane. When I first came in looking at designs, he took time to
show me tattoos similar to what I wanted and opened his
portfolio to show me specific designs he had worked with the
same theme. This really put me at ease. He even recommended
websites where I could see other examples. We decided on a
design, changing from my initial thoughts of a solid band to an
S-shaped design that would work better. He gave me an estimate
oncost ($180-240) and time (90 min-2 hours) without hesitation
and both seemed appropriate as my design is about 5x3. We set
an appt for later that week so he couldfinesse the design. When
I called back and couldn't make the scheduled time he
rearranged his personal schedule to come in when I could. He
showed me the final design for my approval and once agreed we
went to the chair. This was my first tattoo and I was very
nervous, but Duane put me at ease and promised it wasn't near
as bad as I thought. And it wasn't. I periodically checked
his progress and was amazed at the amount of care he put into
the coloring and shading of my design. His joking and
conversation made the time and irritation of the needle
minimal. Afterwards he gave me specific instuctions on care
and how to use the Tattoo Goo. He also gave me an extra
business card and said to call if I had any questions. It's
definitely agreat experience and Duane is an A+++ artist!!!

Shop Review: Capitol City Tattoo II in Prattville, Alabama. Convenient
location, great hours, Super Clean, Tons of designs on the walls to choose
from if you don't bring something of your own. Friendly staff, VERY
helpful, was more than willing to work us in on a Saturday sce we were from
out of town! Even stayed after hours to finish my husbands design. Great
Prices & Hourly Rates, All around GREAT SHOP, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Artist Review--Steffan: Steffan, What can I say, except this: I will never
go to anyone
else for another tattoo!! I will drive from S.C. to Alabama from now on
to have my work done by this talented and extremely professional artist.
Completely made me feel at ease, due to the area of my tattoo it was quite
painful, he kept checking on me to see how I was doing, to see if I needed
a break, Great chairside manners. His tribal art is by far the best I've
ever seen. And, the custom tribal piece that he hand sketched onto my
husband's upper left arm was by far phenominal. The tattoo I received is
my favorite to date;(I have five). My husband's tribal 1/2 sleeve is my
favorite on him;(he has 14)!! Quality Work, Completely made to feel at
ease, coloring, shading, and fine lines AMAZING!!
