Many piercers consider cheek piercings dangerous because of the
proximity of large blood vessels and nerves. Placement should be
carefully checked to avoid the Facial Vein and Artery and the Paratoid
Duct.
Initial jewelry: Labret studs in 16 to 10 gauge and 3/8" to 1/2" in
length; the stud should be 1/8" longer than the thickness of the
cheek.
