2A.1 Platinum

Platinum and metals in the platinum group such as palladium are
completely inert, making them excellent choices for body
jewelry. However, platinum is economically impractical for most
manufacturers and consumers. Platinum is also very heavy which makes
platinum jewelry inappropriate for some piercings.
