10 Do Afghans have any genetic defects?

Unfortunately they do, but are less prone to these than some other
breeds. Hip dysplasia, juvenile cataracts, hypothyroidism and enzyme
deficiencies can be found in the breed. In general, the breed is a
healthy one.
